Additional Tips
- SPH+CYL: If both SPH and CYL are positive and SPH plus CYL has been over +4.00 (such as SPH +3.00, CYL +1.25), opt for higher index(1.67/1.74) for thinner lenses and comfortable wear.
- Frame Size Matters: Larger frames make lenses appear thicker - opt for higher index(1.67/1.74) if needed.
- Ask Your Optician: For progressive, bifocal or prism, they may recommend adjustments.

Anti-Fog Coating Care Guide
Follow these steps to maintain optimal anti-fog performance and lens clarity of our anti-fog coating technology.
1. Daily Cleaning & Storage
- Use only a soft, clean microfiber cloth.
- To clean: Wipe gently in one direction. For smudges, dampen the cloth with water and a tiny drop of fragrance-free dish soap, wipe, then rinse thoroughly with a water-dampened cloth. Air dry completely.
- To store: Only store the insert when 100% dry. Use the protective case and keep it away from heat sources, humidity, and chemicals like perfume or sunscreen.
2. What Will Damage the Coating (AVOID)
These actions will permanently ruin the anti-fog layer:
- ❌ Never wipe with paper towels, tissues, regular towels, or your fingers.
- ❌ Never use glass cleaner, alcohol, disinfectants, or abrasive chemicals.
- ❌ Never expose to high heat (e.g., car dashboard, hairdryer, hot water).
- ❌ Never vigorously scrub the inner lens surface(anti-fog coating is in the inner lens surface).
3. Practical On-Mountain Tips
- Wear anti-fog ski goggles / snow goggles to ensure an effective ventilation system.
- Wipe external snow off with a dry cloth before it melts.
- Direct your breath downward and away from the lens by adjusting your face mask.
- Ensure a small gap for ventilation between your goggles and helmet.
- Let the insert air dry fully after use before packing it away.
4. Understanding Anti-Fog Performance
- The coating works by spreading moisture into a thin, clear film.
- No coating can prevent 100% of fog – extreme temperature/humidity changes and breathing habits significantly affect performance.
- Proper technique (breath control, ventilation) is as important as the coating itself for staying fog-free.

What Is PD
Pupillary Distance (PD) is the distance in millimeters between the centers of your two pupils. It is a core measurement for properly fitted glasses. The two main types are distance PD (for everyday and distance vision) and near PD (for reading glasses), with near PD typically being 3-4 mm shorter due to eye convergence when focusing up close.
If your eye doctor didn't provide your PD, you can measure it yourself at home.
Guide to measure your pupillary distance at home
For a basic distance PD, use a millimeter ruler and a mirror, or ask a friend to help.
1. For single PD:
- Stand about 40 cm (arm’s length) from a mirror. Look through the mirror at a distant point - don’t focus on your own reflection, as that will cause your eyes to converge and shorten the reading.
- Hold a ruler flat against your brow. Close your right eye, align the 0 mark with the center of your left pupil, then close your left eye and read the mark at the center of your right pupil.
- Repeat 2-3 times and take the average. This is your distance binocular PD.
2. For dual PD (left/right separately):
Measure from the center of your nose bridge to each pupil. This is easy with a helper.
Estimating near PD for reading glasses:
Subtract 3-4 mm from your distance PD for a standard reading distance (~40 cm). This is a rough guide; a professional measurement is always more accurate for reading glasses.
Why PD matters?
Every lens has an optical center - the spot that delivers the clearest, most effortless vision. For comfortable sight, this center must line up exactly with your pupil. An accurate PD ensures your eyes always look through the optimal part of the lens, eliminating unnecessary strain.
Problems with incorrect PD
When PD is off, the lenses act like weak prisms, forcing your eyes to constantly turn inward or outward to compensate. This can cause:
- Frequent headaches and eye strain
- Dizziness or blurry vision
- Double vision in severe cases
Especially with moderate to high prescriptions, even a 2-3 mm error can introduce enough prismatic effect to cause noticeable discomfort. Incorrect PD is one of the top reasons online-ordered glasses end up unwearable.
